    Phase Failure Protection: Motors require all phases to function correctly. Phase failure protection devices monitor the presence and balance of all phases and shut down the motor if any phase is lost or imbalanced.

    Ground Fault Protection: This protection mechanism is crucial for safety. It detects faults that could result in electric shock and quickly disconnects the motor from the power source.

    Under-Voltage and Over-Voltage Protection: Fluctuations in voltage can affect the motor's performance. Protection relays monitor the voltage and trip the motor if it goes beyond safe levels.

    Motor Reversal Protection: Prevents motors from running in the reverse direction, which could lead to mechanical damage or safety hazards. Interlocking and sequencing devices ensure motors start in the correct direction.

    Rotor Protection: In the case of large motors, monitoring the condition of the rotor is essential. Rotor protection relays can detect issues like broken rotor bars or eccentricity in the rotor.
